Buxtehude Consort is a new, year-long professional foundation program for singers to be trained as ensemble members, soloists, and music producers in Melbourne. Whilst opportunities for training instrumentalists in this way exist in Victoria, there is no other vocal training opportunity in Melbourne, nor does a training program for this style of music exist in other states of Australia.
The program has been established by professional musicians who have had similar vocal training opportunities internationally and now want to give back to the arts community. Buxtehude Consort performs a wide range of vocal music from the Renaissance to the 21st Century and strives to create exciting concert programs that will engage audiences and performers.
